The Bronze Age in the Severn Estuary

Detailed report on excavations and associated research on Bronze Age sites at Redwick and Peterstone in Gwent Levels of the Severn Estuary, UK. Descriptions of buildings, and associated structures including fish traps, hurdles etc. Animal and human footprints identified in muds. Extensive environmental analysis including pollen and stable isotope leads to conclusion that there is clear evidence of transhumance throughout Bronze Age. Concludes with review of other coastal sites of Bronze Age in Britain and continental Europe.
