African Cowboy : Living Dreams
Bok av Philip Phil-Ebosie
Ahmed and his friends are poor unemployed youths, in the town of Igandu. They live for the cinema and the cowboy films. They mimic the cowboys by dressing, acting, and trying to talk like cowboys. They dream of being cowboys. They form a gang and call themselves "The Cowboys". Ahmed's adopted cowboy name is Clint, chosen after his favourite cowboy CLINT Eastwood. Clint decides to leave "The Cowboys" and join a cattle push. He wants to experience the real life of a cowboy by pushing cattle across the country from the North to Lagos. The Fulani cattle pusher represented the nearest thing to him to the cowboys Alhaji Tijani is a successful business man. He is in his 70's and wants to retire. His dream is to relive his life as a cattle pusher once more. It was how he started as a young man before his success in business. Living dreams is about how they met and pushed cattle together with all its difficulties to Lagos, and in the process forming a father and son relationship.
