Another Brick in the Wall

Bok av Stefan Raicu
Another Brick in the Wall tells the humorous story of Dan Martin, a rugby player who defected from the Eastern Bloc and settled in Australia in the 1980's. Coming from a non-English speaking background and not academically inclined, Dan's communication skills are very shaky and much of the humour of the novel comes from his misunderstanding and misinterpretation of the English language. Dan, a typical rugby player who enjoys food, booze and sexy women, falls for Sonia - a stunningly attractive brunette. At the same time, trying to improve his language skills, he starts to listen to Sarah Wilkinson's talk back radio program and becomes infatuated with her, even though he has no idea what she looks like. Soon he is caught between two women: the gorgeous looking Sonia and the smart, witty Sarah whom he has never seen. Dan knows that sooner or later, he must choose between the two and his decision leads to a thrilling ending.
