Oh yes! Chlo Joan Lpez's QUODLIBET, a finalist for the New Michigan Press/DIAGRAM 2008 Chapbook Contest, is a stellar debut indeed. Brainy, defiant, and precise, these poems explore form and light and sorrowing and sonoluminescence. Moods shift and flicker from line to line, going from doomed to wakeful, desirous to suspicious and unwilling. Each poem is its own tiny constellation of language and lilies, pleasures and pressures, that resist and yield in equal measure.
