On the occasion of the 32nd international symposium 2002, experts of the Faculte Europe enne des Sciences du Foncier (FESF) Strasbourg dealt with problems of changes in land rights in Europe and in transforming and developing countries. The contributions focused on fundamental questions of changes in rights under the aspect of globalization, on the influences of the environmental right on land property, and on the question of right adjustment of developing regions like Russia, North Korea and Africa south of the Sahara. The volume includes an appendix by Paul Trappe on the use of water in societies in Africa.
