Die 'alethia' Des Claudius Marius Victorius: Bibeldichtung Zwischen Epos Und Lehrgedicht

Unlike most of the biblical poetry of late antiquity, the Alethia of Claudius Marius Victorius has major links to didactic poetry as well as the pagan epic, especially to the works of Lucretius. This is the first systematic study to examine the relationship between epic and didactic elements in the Alethia and their implications for situating the work in the Christian poetry of late antiquity.
