»Forensic Epistemology«The present book tackles the question of what it means to raise a knowledge-claim about the guilt of the defendant in criminal adjudication and provide a reasoned verdict. Through careful examination of the use of concepts like >knowledgetruth< and >justification< it constructs a structure of justification for forensic evidence, which prescribes the epistemic rights and duties of the fact triers. Inferential Contextualism, i.e. the favored theory of justification, is defended against the charges of relativism and applied to various legal problems.
