»Mathematics and Logic in Julian's Digest«The influence of Greek philosophy on classic Roman jurists remains a controversial topic to this day. Back in 1970, Juan Miquel conjectured that Roman lawyers were able to think axiomatically. The present study attempts to investigate this question, offering a new reading of Julian's major work, his Digest in 90 books, on the basis of contemporary Aristotelian and Stoic logic.
