Zur Theorie der internationalen Offenheit und der Völkerrechtsfreundlichkeit einer Rechtsordnung und ihrer Erprobung am Beispiel der EU-Rechtsordnung

While the terms international openness and friendliness towards international law stem from German constitutional law, they relate to concepts that can be universalized. Because they poignantly summarize different aspects of the interaction between international and national law, their universalization would be beneficial. The author develops an abstract, transferable model of these concepts. After applying the model to the European Union legal order, its potential for development is discussed.
