»Foreign Investments in Agriculture«The trend towards large-scale investments in agricultural land in developing countries bears the risk of human rights abuses. To ensure responsible agricultural investments, reforms in the countries concerned are needed. On the other side provisions of International Investment Treaties appear to limit the regulatory space of host states, which might makes it difficult for host governments to adopt pro-development policies.
