»The Interpretation of Multilingual Treaties. A Characterization of the Rules of Interpretation with Due Regard to their Historical Development«Divergences between different language texts of international treaties can confront legal practitioners with significant interpretation problems. A main focus of this thesis lies on a study of the relevant historico-legal state practice and jurisprudence of the 18th and 19th century. Further research covers the fragmentation discourse in International Law and the jurisprudence by international tribunals and German courts on Article 33 of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties.
