»The Concept of Area Compatibility in German Construction Planning Law«This paper analyzes the concept of area compatibility in German construction planning law. Its historical development is portrayed and the term of compatibility in other German fields of law is compared with it. The concept of area compatibility is defined and separated from similar concepts. Its connotation and conceptual extension are explained. The term of disturbance is specified and different case groups of area (in-)compatibility are shown.
