Feminist Epistemological Implications to Pedagogy : The case of pedagogy in Kenya

Whereas human society from time immemorial has portrayed gender inequalities, justifying the disparities in various ways,feminist epistemological perspectives have been advanced to challenge the status quo and transform gender relations to equitable terms. In this book, the various feminist perspectives are analyzed and their pedagogical implications examined in hte context of education in Kenya. Accordingly,Liberal, Essentialist,Socialist and Radical feminist perspectives are examined. Consequently, the feminist perspectives imply a pedagogical ideal that enhances the dignity of the human person, men and women equally and inculcate critical and reflective capacity in individuals, thereby liberating them from conventional societal worldviews that have hither to reinforced gender inequalities.
