Men's Involvement in Family Planning : Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Family Planning among Men

This study examines the level of knowledge, attitude and practice of family planning among men. The study revealed that men have relatively considerable knowledge and encouraging positive attitude towards female family planning methods than male family planning methods. Female family planning methods were the most commonly used methods than male family planning methods. The gap between knowledge and practice of male family planning methods was very wide. moreover, future prevalence and practice of male methods seemed to be low. As Men's educational level and income increases, their participation of using family planning methods also increases. Men having some kind of job practiced male methods higher than those without job. The study implies that higher level of education, access to job opportunities and income play a great role in increasing men's participation in family planning.
