Temporomandibular joint disorders are among the most common problems of head and neck region. The etiology of TMD is very vast and to find a proper reason is really difficult. Without understanding the cause, a proper treatment plan cannot be possible. To know the proper etiology the first and foremost important thing is knowledge of anatomy of TMJ. The aim of this book is to give the knowledge of TMJ anatomy both in rest and in function and then description of various etiological factors for TMD. In this book we have done the extensive point wise coverage of various TMJ movements along with the normal structural changes responsible for the movement. We have given a detailed list of etiological factors responsible for TMD. If the readers first get the knowledge of anatomy then they can easily correlate the changes in normal function with the etiology. So our target group for this book are the doctors who dealt with the TMJ disorder patients so that they can easily correlate the clinical findings with the etiology. After the etiology we have given the detailed pattern for examination of the patient and a brief for the management of the condition of the patient.
