Bok av Mesele Tamene
Grant's gazelles are one of the different gazelle groups. They are larger in size than other gazelles. The male horn is longer, thicker and more strongly ringed. They are generally mixed feeders that both browse and graze. They feed on herb and shrubs foliages during the late wet and dry seasons. They feed on grass while it is young and green. The distribution of Grant's gazelle extends from southern Sudan and Ethiopia, throughout Kenya and into northern Tanzania. They are gregarious animal. Grant's gazelle is not endangered; however, the majority of species and subspecies within this genus are considered to be threatened, endangered, or extinct. This monograph documents on feeding ecology, activity pattern and population status of Grant's gazelle in Abijata-Shalla Lakes National Park, Ethiopia.
