The blending of kocho with different cereals and legumes results in the improvement of its nutritional value with high quality protein from cheap sources could be a major step in the region to avoid diseases caused by protein energy malnutrition. Thus, this research intends to achieve the improvement of nutritional value of kocho by supplementing it with faba bean. Enset plant is used to make many locally known food products among these are unleavened kocho bread (simply called kocho), bulla porridge (genfo), thick cooked bulla gruel (atmit) and a shredded flake made of a mixture of kocho and bulla (firfir)
