Infection Prevalence Of Giardia Lamblia And Cryptosporidium Spp : Among school children and cattle in southern Tigray, northern Ethiopia

The day-to-day contact people have with domestic animals and their excreta would raise the possibility of acquiring infections with zoonotic pathogens such as members of the genus Giardia and Cryptosporidium. Giardia and Cryptosporidium are the most common causes of protozoan diarrhea and lead to considerable morbidity and mortality. The dramatic emergence of waterborne zoonosis involving these parasites as a co-infection with HIV has caused great public health concern in the international community
