Plate Tectonics and Ore Formation in Proterozoic of Ukrainian Shield

Bok av Sheremet Yevgeny
Geodynamic settings, petrochemical and geochemical features of Proterozoic magmatites from initial to final stages (anorthosite-rapakivi-granite formation - ARGF), isotopic data-based depth of formation of magmatites, magmatism of zones of compression in various zones of Proterozoic subduction of the Ukrainian Shield are reviewed. One of the possible explanations to identity petrochemical, geochemical, accessory-mineralogical compositions of the Late Proterozoic magmatites in certain megablocks of the Ukrainian Shield is the excitation of relatively deep parts of the mantle due to sinking of oceanic sediments deeply down as a result of collision of geotectonic settings. Manifestations of ARGF plutons are not exclusive prerogative of the Ukrainian Shield but are of planetary nature. It is the authors' opinion that existence of subduction plate-tectonics settings in Proterozoic is more attractive than plume tectonics to explain formation of ARGF.
