Approaches in the Treatment of Parkinson's Disease : A Review of the Main Approaches in the Treatment of Parkinson's Disease with a Focus on Stem Cell-Based Therapies

Bok av Al-Maqtari Tareq
Although Parkinson's disease is debilitating millions of people around the globe, none of the current therapies has been able to curb the progression of the disease, laying a serious challenge before the neuroscience community. Both pharmacological as well as non-drug approaches have been proposed and extensively investigated. This works offers an extensive description of some of the new promising non-traditional approaches in the management of Parkinson's disease with a special focus on the interesting potential use of stem cell-based regenerative therapies in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. This work should be useful to many scholars involved in neurosciense, Parkinson's disease, stem cell-based therapy, and regenerative medicine.
