Group Based Microfinance and Its Impact on Rural Households

In the recent years Microfinance became an important intervention as a tool for poverty alleviation and rural development. "Is it right that the microfinance increase the income level, savings, productive assets and family expenditure of the rural households. why the cost of credit was so high when borrowed from MFIs and low in the case of Self-help groups. What are the factors determining the rural households participation in microfinance programme."
