Water is considered as one of the important resources on earth. Human beings and animals throughout history have settled along water bodies for the purpose of promoting their developmental activities. Cities, towns and villages have been located near streams, rivers, wells and other sources of water. Recently the demand for water has increased rapidly to catch pace with increasing population, increasing livestock population and the rise in multiple uses of water for agriculture, recreation, industry and non ingested personnel consumption. This book focuses on the challenges and lessons of water quality policy implementation in the Sudan. It specifically outlines the techniques and tools used by the Sudan in controlling water quality.
