Later, as the leader of the Congress party and the first Prime Minister of free India, he served the nation well and admirably developed India in a way that she occupies a distinguished place among the nations of the world.Today he is no more with us. But India is still following the path he had shown and the foundation he laid for her future progress. Whether the policies he followed in the areas of economic prosperity or industrial and technological progress of the nation, or for non-alignment and non-dependence on superpowers, India is still continuing to pursue the Nehru line.
