Physical Properties of Pvk Doped by Agnps Prepared by Laser Ablation : Experimental Physics

The pulsed laser ablation in liquids (PLAL) is a rapidly emerging technique in material science for fabricating metal and metal-oxide nanoparticles. The advantage of this method over the conventional chemical methods is the lower cost, high purity and absence of defects in the formed nanoparticles (NPs). Systems of poly (n-vinylcarbazole) doped with silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) that ablated by nanosecond laser at different laser parameters such as; time of irradiation, source power and photon energy (wavelength) were prepared and studied. Structural, optical, morphological and thermal properties have been investigated using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR), Ultra Violet - Visible Spectra (UV-Vis), Photoluminescence (PL), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Transmission Electron microscope (TEM) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA).
