Tridax procumbens (Family Asteraceae)leaves play vital role in the treatment of dysentery, diarrhea, malaria, stomachache, hepatitis, wound healing, preventing premature hair fall & liver disorder. Its leaf juice has antiseptic, insecticidal & parasitic properties; hepatic-protective,anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal,wound healing & anti-diabetic activity;hypertensive effect,immune-modulator property and antimicrobial activity against bacteria. Its extract increases immuno-inflammatory reactions & is routinely used by herbalists, rural dwellers & others to stop bleeding from nose, gum & skin.Flowers are used in developing bio-pesticides as an alternative to synthetic fungicides. This plant is a rich source of natural antioxidants, flavonoids, tannins, carbohydrates & alkaloids. It has great demand in pharmaceutical industry. However, its in-vitro technique is little known. This book provides investigatory information about standard protocol, effect of EMS & haemostatic property of leaf extract and would be helpful for scientists in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry,Plant Breeding and Pharmaceutical industry. The conclusions made by the authors may vary in different geographic & climatic conditions.
