Emotional Intellligence, Multiple Intelligences and Writing Ability

Writing is not an innate natural ability but is a cognitive ability (Harris, 1993) and is acquired through years of training. It is an integrated knowledge which requires critical and creative process on the part of writers.Understanding the nature of writing process, its emotional aspects, and the role of individuals' different intelligences and capacities helps language teachers better accommodate for individual needs in different aspects of writing instruction.
