A hospital said to be efficient if it is able to use all available resources to generate an added value with minimum waste. Meanwhile, the hospital said to be effective if it is able to provide a performance in line with the vision, mission and objectives of the organization. A hospital said to be efficient if is able to use all available resources to produce an added value with minimum waste. Lean is a management system that focuses on efficiency. Lean is "a philosophy of long-term growth through efforts to increase the value of customers, society, and economy in order to reduce the costs, increase the service time, and improve the quality through the elimination of waste totally". The impact of the lean implementation can be measured using the approach economic values such as; reduction of costs, reducing the pharmaceutical supply in hospitals, and increasing the pharmaceutical supply turnover ratio. In addition to the above, the lean implementation can also reduce the frequency of flaw services, accelerate the process of service, and reduce the waiting time.
