CHILDREN WHO ATTEND SCHOOLS IN ENDEMIC AREAS SUFFER FROM CHRONIC INFECTIONS ACCOMPANIED BY IRON-DEFFICIENCY, ANAEMIA, WEIGHT LOSS, POOR INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT AND DETERIORATION IN ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE.
