Impact of Mergers on Performance of a Firm : An Indian Perspective

The Indian Industry, in recent years, has been witnessing a rising trend in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). This trend is a response to the changes in the external environment in the post liberalization period. This book captures the impact of these mergers on the performance of the firms and investigates the pattern of the merger activity in India in the post liberalized setting, post 1991. The study also identifies the principal drivers behind the outcome of mergers that took place after 1991.
