Bok av Racheal Mafumbate
This study sought to compare the academic performance of children from parent-headed families and children from child headed families. The researcher employed the quantitative and descriptive research design. It was concluded that children from child headed families performed poorly in Mathematics. The study established that children from child headed families lack enough time to do homework. These children also have minimum concentration span when working out Mathematical concepts. The study therefore recommends the following that the government, the responsible authority, the municipality/council, DAACC assist such children in school stationery and equipment to reduce the impact of the absence of biological parents.
