Todeserfahrungen Im Werk Von Giovanni Segantini

Bok av Rudiger Eschmann
Giovanni Segantini was one of the most famous painters of symbolism in the late 19th century. The existential themes and imagery of symbolism enabled Segantini to deal in his work with his traumatic death experiences. This lifelong, unconscious motivation force is traced on the basis of more than 60 of his paintings. By means of a historico-cultural research and psychoanalytic interpretation a soul life is made visible in pictures. With these paintings we can understand which powerful, unconscious dynamics can be caused by death experiences onrushing from outside.
