Awareness of Population Growth Among the 9th Class Tribal Students

The aim of the book refers to the importance of population education to future citizens of the nation. The Investigators have developed a keen interest in knowing whether the effects of population explosion were realized by present IX class students as they are going to complete this education at secondary level and entering into the world at large. The study was carried out in 8 tribal dominated mandals (G. L. Puram, Kurupam, Jiyyammavalasa, Komarada, Paravathipuram, Makkuva, Saluru and Pachipenta) of Vizianagaram district inhabited by the tribals viz. Gadaba, Kondadora, Jatapus and Savara. The tribal population of the district is 1,94,293 (9.6%) with a literacy rate of 47.71%. The sample is limited to 200 students of SSC belonging to different management schools in agency area of Vizianagaram district which is a part of the North coastal Andhra Pradesh lying between 17o 15' -19o15' North latitude and 83o 0'-83o 45' East longitude.
