The Influence of 5PT on the Corrosion of Steel

In this research work, we studied the inhibition of corrosion of steel in 1M HCl using 5PT by weight loss, potentiodynamic polarization and EIS measurements methods.The inhibition efficiency increases with the increase of inhibitor concentration .The rete of corrosion of steel in 1M HCl without the 5PT increases with the increase of the temperature range from 298 to 353K, but with the tetrazole compounds,the rate of corrosion of steel decrease.The inhibition efficiency increases with the presense of salts.The adsorption of inhibition on the steel surface is found to obey the Frumkin adsorption isothermmodel.
