Solar Power Installations- A Need for India 2050 : Solar Rooftop Installations - A required mandate and a path to energy security

Solar rooftop installations are a way to an energy secure future. Policy mandates act as the drivers for the installations. For India, Countries within EU namely, Germany, Spain and Italy could be the role models to follow. The paper covers some of the policies in different countries and puts forth what policies could be applied in Indian context. A section on Building Integrated Photovoltaics has also been discussed.
