"Lectures on Russian History" - the main work Kliuchevskoi life, in which he outlined his conception of the historical development of Russia, combining serious scientific research with high artistic merit statement. Above the "course of lectures" Klyuchevskii worked almost all his life: the first part of the course was not published until 1904, when Kliuchevskii was already 62 years old, then at intervals of two years, were published three parts. The fifth part, which, according to the author, was to cover the period up to the mid 19th century, did not have time to issue Klyuchevskii - in 1911 he died. "Lectures" Kliuchevskoi and today remains one of the major works on Russian history.
