In the largest bibliographic work "critical-biographical dictionary of Russian writers and scientists (from the beginning of Russian education to the present day)" famous Russian literary historian and bibliography Afanasievich Semyon Vengerov (1855-1920) elaborated on the activities of writers and scholars, gave lists of works, as well as literature about them, and take into account not only large but also small representatives of Russian literature and science. The dictionary contains articles and documentaries help on more than 2000 writers, as well as several hundred autobiographical messages.
