From the diary of road VN Latkina. VN Latkin, a native and citizen of the Vologda district town Ustsysolska, in 1840 and 1843 respectively, made a double trip to the Pechora basin. In the course of these two journeys, he kept a detailed diary, in which noted all caught his eye, and thus gathered a rich supply of very interesting information about the region, so distant and obscure. Excerpts from the diary are placed in this edition.
