Catherine the 2nd and G. Potemkin. Personal Correspondence 1769-1791

The present book "Catherine II and GA Potemkin. Personal communication. 1769-1791" is not just a collection of letters, once published in the Collection of the Imperial Russian Historical Society and the pages of magazines "Russian Archive", "Russian Antiquity" "Historical Journal" and others. This is the most complete edition of the correspondence of the two eminent statesmen of Russia. It included a lot of new, previously unknown materials comprising (in its volume) about a third book. Above all, this letter Potemkin Empress, most of which have never been published (the fact itself is amazing!). We never published and letters Catherine II Potemkin relating to the first week started in 1787 war with Turkey. Somehow historians engaged in publishing the letters of the Empress, overlooked the whole pack of her letters to Potemkin in August-September 1787 archive search revealed a new letter notes to Catherine, dating from the period of its rapprochement with Potemkin.
