Creativity Vasily Rozanov (1856-1919) has absorbed and, as in a mirror, reflected the complexity of the era of the "last spike" of Russia, its last breath. From this tragic and contradictory, brightness and expressiveness, subtlety and surprise tense search, about to touch the truth of being, hence throwing the religious thought of the writer, sometimes verging on the sacrilegious mockery, but sometimes rises to heights of piercing, a premonition of impending disaster and despair of it inevitability.
