Encyclopedia of Elementary Mathematics. Encyclopedia of Elementary Geometry. Volume 2

Bok av G Veber
The second volume Encyclopaedia of elementary mathematics is devoted exclusively to the geometry. With a large amount of elementary mathematics, with its countless and teoremkami theorems about circles, spheres and tetrahedra, which are only different modifications and a few special cases of the general ideas of projective geometry, we had to limit ourselves to the most essential material, the more that we need to be, in part in the interests of the third volume, to provide a conic sections, spherical trigonometry, analytic geometry, and the grounds. Collect all the valuable material in this scientific field does not correspond to the plan of this work. Rather, we mean to eliminate all that stuff, which currently remains isolated, so unfruitful, and keep only what is useful when applied to mechanics and physics, and retains its value in higher mathematics.
