This book sheds light on some aspects of the history of the Cheka-OGPU-1920s. Using new archival materials FSB and other sources, the author reveals the mechanism for gradual withdrawal of the Revolution proclaimed the idea of democracy to the dictatorship of the Party and state leadership and participation in the process of the Cheka-OGPU. The book shows that the pursuit of the Bolshevik leadership to act more coercive methods has led not only to preserve but also to empower the GPU, OGPU. Government security services, ceasing to be a disaster in the form for some reason got extra rights.
