Photon and Phonon Crystals

We consider the current methods of formation of regular domain structures and photoinduced grating in ferroelectric crystals and their basic physical characteristics. Set out features of linear and nonlinear interaction of optical and acoustic waves with periodic structures in ferroelectrics. Much attention is paid to the use of such materials, known as the photon and phonon crystals in devices and opto devices and acoustoelectronics to generate, filter, and multiplying the frequency of parametric conversion of optical and acoustic waves. Scientists and engineers working in the field of quantum electronics, acoustic and optoelectronics, as well as graduate students and senior students of universities.
