Huo Huiliang, Han Nationality, was born in a village called Huojiaji, Jiangtaipu, Xiji County, Ningxia in 1966. He graduated from the Department of Chinese Language in Ningxia University in 1989 and received his bachelor's degree.After graduation, he was assigned a job as a teacher in Xinglong Middle School in Xiji County, moved to the former Guyuan Daily at the end of 1994, transfered to the editorial department of Shuo Fang Literature under Ningxia Federation of Literary and Art in 2007 and has been working there till now.He has published works since the 1990s, and his literary works (more than one million words) has been published in several journals and publications such as Chinese Writers, October, Times Literary, Tianjin Literature, Mountain Flowers, Shuofang Literature, Hui Literature, and some of the works were selected and published in Selected Stories and Stories Monthly, and included into the Chinese Novels of the Year.His novels won the Ningxia Prize for Literature for three times and also won the Guyuan Prize forLiterature for three time.He published a collection of stories -- The language of a Village.The Faint Sounds included a total of 87 of his literary works, including prose, novels, essays, reviews and artistic character sketches. The Faint Sounds is a book of Chinese Contemporary Western Literature Library, published by Ningxia People's Publishing House.
