Sino-Japanese Historical Issue and Sino-Japanese Relationship
Bok av Bu Ping
Sino-Japanese history is a major issue that has affected the development of relations of the two countries for a long time after the war, which is manifested in three different but interrelated aspects of political judgment, public sentiment and academic research. The responsibility of academic research is to provide accurate and objective historical data and methods for the normal expression of political judgment and the feelings of the masses. The purpose of this book is to study the historical issues of China and Japan calmly and empirically, and to answer the urgent problems in the process of the development of Sino-Japanese relations. As for Japan's compensation for war, this book introduces the new ideas of international community around reparations in the early postwar period. It points out that the new China giving up on the Japanese war compensation happened in the new historical environment, and it needs to be understood from the perspective of the change of international relations. On the Yasukuni Shrine issue, this book describes the evolution of the Yasukuni Shrine before and after war. The core of the problem is that Yasukuni Shrine tries to restore the pre-war status in state management, which is the reason why Japanese politicians are wrong to visit the Yasukuni Shrine. It is to remind people the necessity of accurately grasping the essence of Yasukuni Shrine issue. With regard to the issue of history textbooks, the book notes that the central problem is around the post-ward descriptions of war responsibility "e;improvement"e; and "e;deterioration"e;. It advocates to criticize history textbooks written by the right-wing group together with those who don't use these textbooks so as to avoid one-sided judgment.
