In basic principles of "e;organization, inheritance, research and innovation"e;, the book is divided into two parts, covering ancient and modern data. Since the compilation is complicated, relevant matters are specified as follows:I. Part A is the literatures of Hunan from the predecessors,mainly including the masterpieces of the writers of Hunan and discovered documents of Hunan, and the works of the writers living in Hunan and newspapers from Late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China era.II. Part B is the modern researches on Hunan,including the studies and introduction of compositions and compilations on figures, history and customs of Hunan.
