The author of this book-Gu Rong brother is my senior, three grades higher than me, both studying in the Department of Political Science of Ningxia University. Although in the same school and the same department, we had no contacts, I even did not know Gu Rong brother was also a poetic "e;fascination"e; at university, in fact, in the 80s of last century, poetry occupied important place in the minds of young students. Writing poems was basically regarded as a symbol of talent. That's a rare time. Obviously, Gu Rong brother was tolerant. Because of the founder of poetry society, I almost knew all the renowned poetry writers in Ningxia University, including graduated seniors, but did not know Gu Rong brother, until 1985 when I graduated from college, I only knew that Gu Rong brother, who was assigned to Lingwu No.1 Middle School three years earlier than me, was a hidden poet. Gradually we had contacts, and, of course, more often than not, I consulted him for some experience in political teaching. During this period, I had read some poems of Gu Rong brother, and also published his poems in the school's mimeographed poetry periodical Blue Star, and later helped him to recommend his poems to Liu Pan Shang Literature (later changed to Liu Pan Shang), it was said that this was his first poem published in formal publication, was also his maiden work. Shortly afterwards, Gu Rong brother returned to work in Shizuishan, this leaving was more than twenty years. In twenty years, we had no any contact, only occasionally heard that Gu Rong brother left the education circles, and worked in the coal system.
