Aperto Vetro

In winter 2000, the city of Venice presented designs by leading international architects and designers engaged in researching everyday uses for glass in the fields of interior design and as an intrinsic part of furnishings. The essays in this lavishly illustrated volume reveal the novelty and the merit of these investigations into the use of glass in furniture, lighting design and interior architecture. The contemporary artists present in Aperto Vetro include Alvar Aalto, Sergio Asti and Tapio Wirkkala.
