Natural elements : the architecture of Arkís Architects

Bok av Lauri Tomas
Arkís Architects is an Icelandic architecture studio based in Reykjavík, which is engaged in the development of local knowledge based on sustainable design through a broad range of approaches such as a local green building council, teaching and publishing. Founded in 1997, the studio is one of the largest architecture firms in Iceland, and has created significant works both in Iceland and abroad. This book presents a selection of their most important projects, such as Reykjavík University, Apotek Hotel, Snæfellsstofa Visitor Centre and Holmen Aquatics Center. It also includes texts by Sigrí ur Magnúsdóttir, Atli Magnus Seelow and Livio Dimitriu, as well as an interview with representatives of the studio.
